As the writers strike dwindles the available new shows to air, NBC is about to start the new season run of Medium starting in January.

The fourth season of “Medium,” which will feature Anjelica Huston in a six-episode story line, will premiere in the shows original 10 p.m. Monday slot on Jan. 7, exactly three years after the supernatural drama starring Patricia Arquette emerged as a breakout hit for NBC in its Jan. 3, 2005 debut.

If you haven’t seen the show about a young wife and mother who, since childhood, has been struggling to make sense of her dreams and visions of dead people, the Lifetime television network shows repeats from the first three seasons.

This show often is compared more favorably than Ghost Whisperer but we here have to say we like them both!
