So if you are thinking that the nasty writers strike has zapped all of your paranormal shows like we have written about before, don’t despair because some NEW shows still are on the horizon.

The long awaited arrival of “Ghost Hunters International” starts on January 9th at 9pm. Of course it will be on The Sci-Fi Channel. Also as a surprise they will be showing a new episode of “Ghost Hunters” the same night as a lead-in!!!

Here is a description of the first episode of “Ghost Hunters International” :

Title: Chillingham

The team investigates Chillingham Castle in England; the team searches the abandoned depths of Mary King’s Close in Scotland.

Chillingham Castle describes themselves:

We have a number of ghosts. The most famous is the “blue boy”, who as midnight rang out would cry and moan in agony (or maybe fear). The noises could be traced to a spot near a passage cut through a ten foot wall.

When the bloodcurdling wails die away a soft halo of light appears around an old four poster bed. Anyone sleeping there, even today, can see the figure of a young boy dressed in blue, and surrounded by light. Behind the wall the bones of a young boy and fragments of blue clothing were discovered.

Another ghost, Lady Mary Berkeley, searches for her husband, who ran off with her sister. Lady Mary, desolate and broken hearted lived in the castle by herself with only her baby girl as a companion. The rustle of her dress can be heard as she passes you by in the turret stairs.

The new episode of “Ghost Hunters” :

Title: Return to St. Augustine Lighthouse

The TAPS team returns to Florida to perform another investigation on the historical St. Augustine Lighthouse.

Remember the “Ghost Hunters” first visit to that lighthouse? Jason and Grant clearly thought they were chasing a ghost up the spiral stairs. They could see where a light was blocked out momentarily as something went between them and this light. All the crew was accounted for so it wasn’t one of them. And even a “person” appeared to be eliminated as the figure moved very fast!!

I am looking forward to new episodes of this franchise as I believe they do the best show. Remember you can see all the paranormal upcoming TV shows whether they are new or repeats as we diligently keep track of these shows and when they will air.
