Ghost Hunters International “Evil Unearthed” Report Card
We here at Spectral Review are not paranormal investigators, demonologists, or drama critics. We don’t even play any of those on TV! But we do watch most paranormal shows and can tell the good ones from the bad.
Ghost Hunters International episode report card.
“Evil Unearthed”
The team descends into the depths of the Abbey of Lucedio in Italy; the team travels to the legendary Nanteos Mansion in Wales.
|
Ghost Hunters International visits two locations in this episode. They tackle legends of demons at one very spooky location in Italy and visit a mansion in Wales. |
Case: Abbey of Lucedio

Client Credibility
The current owner of Lucedio Abbey is Paolo Salvadori. His family has owned the property for a 1000 years. He tells us he believes there are spirits at the property. He tells us of the crying pillar in the judgment room, how it cries tears because of all the evil it has witnessed. He tells us another story of a young woman he killed herself because her father wanted her to marry an old man while she was in love with a young man. Her spirit has been seen. In the “peoples church” shadows have been seen.
His claims of paranormal activity are pretty extreme but he seems credible. He just told us the legends and personal experiences people have had. Five out of five ghosts.

Investigation
Donna, Brian and Robb went to the peoples church. First Donna’s camera battery drained. They saw shadows and Donna felt she was touched. They heard a whisper “Go Now”.
Andy tried to debunk the crying pillar. He found a crack on the floor above the pillar. So he setup a bucket of water to seep water through to explain the crying. At the end of the case they revealed that water did not show up. Andy’s test though well thought out, did not debunk the claim.
Five out of five ghosts.

Evidence
The team collected some terrific evidence. Along with the many personal experiences they did record the voice they had heard say “Go Now”. The recording only clearly caught “Go”. A second EVP was a Italian word for “stop”. Not knowing Italian we will have to take them at face value.
Four out of five ghosts.

Case: Nanteos Mansion

Client Credibility
The Nanteos estate manager was Paul Ingrams. He told us of footsteps around the bar area. Another worker Haley saw a spirit in the stairs area. It is explained to us about the ghost of Elizabeth Powell looking for her jewels. A lot of noises coming out of the kitchen. Five out of five ghosts.

Investigation
The team went into this case with the idea of trying to debunk the claims. Using a thermal camera they saw a hot water pipe near the bar and concluded that the heating system could make the floor boards crack and seem like footsteps.
They seemed to debunk the kitchen noises. Andy climbed up into the crawl space and saw evidence of animals which could explain the weird noises.
Brian and Barry went to the basement and Brian crawled into a very small space. While down deep in the crevice he thought he saw a shadow coming toward him. We really felt he was going to have another “Dude Run!” moment but being in such a small place he just got out. We have to say that we can’t really blame him.
Four out of five ghosts.

Evidence
Really nice EVPs captured. A very clear voice saying “Help me”. A second EVP when Donna inquired “Are you upset because you can’t find all the jewelry that you hid?” And shortly after a clear “yes” was recorded. Just terrific to get an answer to a question.
Five out of five ghosts.

Conclusion
Robb Demarest did a nice job leading the team. Donna and Shannon were pretty scared at the Abbey and he was able to keep them working despite of their fear. And to continue on when being so scared is a tribute to the team members.
Another strong episode from the Ghost Hunters franchise. Five out of five ghosts.

I am sorry, how can the family own this Abbey for 100o years,
when the Abbey used to belong to the Cistercians. The Abbey was suppressed in 18th century.
