Belgrave Hall was built in 1709. You can see it on our Haunted Places Map. It is a Queen Anne-style house in the middle of 2 acres of walled gardens. It was opened to the public in 1936 as a museum.

Ghost Hunters International recently investigated this location.

In 1999 two ghostly figures were caught on a security camera outside the hall. Over the years there have been a number of unexplained paranormal activities in and around the Hall and today, ghost hunters from around the world are still investigating the site.

The latest group to investigate is the show Ghost Hunters International in early 2008.

Another report is from a gardener who swears he encountered a ghost dressed in a terracotta colored Victorian dress walking down the stairs and pausing to look through the window at the garden one day. The gardener claims she then tuned, smiled and walked through to the kitchen and disappeared.

Another ghost that is often sighted is referred to as the “Victorian Lady” ghost and has often been heard walking around the upstairs. There is also a “Green Lady” and a “Grey Lady” that appears on a regular basis throughout the grounds and building.

The following is a video of a Most Haunted investigation at Belgrave Hall.
