Ghost Hunters International “Whispers From Beyond” Report Card

Ghost Hunters International episode report card.
“Whispers From Beyond”
The team investigates paranormal activity at Belgrave Hall in central England; the team travels to Scotland to investigate the Ragged School of Edinburgh.
|
Ghost Hunters International investigates two locations in this episode. Captures some interesting EVPs and do some good debunking work. |
Case: Ragged School of Edinburgh
Client Credibility
The man showing the GHI team of Robb Demarest, Andy Andrews, Donna La Croix, Brian Harnois, Barry Fitzgerald and Shannon Sylvia was Alastair Hutchinson. He said he was a skeptic and has never seen a ghost. He did say strange things or noises did happen in the building but he didn’t necessarily believe they were paranormal in nature. So most of his time he spent really just showing the team the building. So since he didn’t have any claims of paranormal activity, you would have to give him five out of five ghosts.

Investigation
Brian while setting up the equipment thought he saw a black shadow pass behind him. Robb criticized him for not thinking quick enough to grab a camera or other equipment to get some evidence. So it just goes into the category of an interesting experience.
Robb and Barry thought they saw a flash in a room but couldn’t see anything in the room that could have reflected some light.
Brian thought he caught a black mass with his digital camera. Maybe feeling a little bad he missed the earlier opportunity. But Barry debunked by seeing it was a shadow from a pot in the room.
Andy debunked the locations where Donna and Shannon felt some cold spots. Then Andy decided to be quiet in the room to try to find something. He thought he heard a footstep in the dusty floor. Then thought he heard a second footstep. He booked after it to try to get some evidence and looked kind of silly. Got his thermometer out and noted the temperature dropped a few degrees.
Robb and Donna went to the Camera Obscura room to try to get some EVPs. Good work by the team four out of five ghosts.

Evidence
They caught an EVP saying “out of here” in the area of the building where Robb and Barry saw the flash. Another EVP was captured in the Camera Obscura room after Donna asked if “George” went by another name. George was really just a name the workers had tagged the spirit. Clearly the EVP was “yes” to Donna’s question.
Brian and Andy caught some misty image on a picture in one of the bedrooms. We here had a lot of trouble seeing it. Then they claimed that the image looked like a former resident of the building that used to live in the building and the person had died in the room. It’s a nice story but on TV the image wasn’t very convincing at all.
Some good evidence, four out of five ghosts.

Case: Belgrave Hall

Client Credibility
Belgrave Hall is now a commercial business that hosts parties. It is now managed by a man named Lee Gilbert. He definitely believed the Hall was haunted. He told of people seeing shadows with an orange/red hue. He told of a personal experience where he felt pushed back while sitting on a bench. Another person there claimed they saw a black shadow pass through him. Pretty creepy.
He explained about the famous video captured years earlier and the GHI team were excited about debunking the video.
He sounded credible and no reason to doubt his story. Five out of five ghosts.

Investigation
Robb and Andy started by doing a thermal sweep of the house. They entered a room and heard a whistle. They were able to debunk the sound as a floor board at the doorway of the room.
Donna and Shannon went to the dining room. Donna took some pictures, a series of three at one point. She thought the second picture had a strange reddish brown haze. This seems to verify one of the clients stories. She then tried to get some EVPs by asking if some entity was there.
Barry and Brian used the theory that UV light repels spirits. They thought that they chased a black shadow to a maids quarters. Nothing caught on camera, just their personal claims of seeing shadows. Then they tried to get some EVPs.
Barry and Andy were able to debunk the famous security camera video. The weather conditions were similar as they were in 1997 when the video was taken. Wearing a reflective coat Andy went out in the rain and he did look very similar to the famous video. Most likely this debunks it.
Great work by the team. Five out of five ghosts.

Evidence
Donna’s red haze photo seemed interesting. They tried to recreate the photo but couldn’t. Then they captured and EVP to Donna’s question “were you just here”. Pretty clearly was a “yes”.
Another EVP was caught when Brian and Barry chased the dark shadow to the maids room. The EVP was someone saying “shhh”. We didn’t hear it too well. Could easily just been static to us.
Again some good evidence and some shaky. Four out five ghosts.

Conclusion
Another pretty good episode from GHI. They caught some interesting EVPs and had some experiences that couldn’t be explained. Robb seems to lead the group well. Shannon is improving. Here experience has always been just in peoples homes so going to castles and mansions has been for an adjustment for her.

My girlfriend thinks I’m crazy but I spend some of my spare time attempting to record voices of ghosts in Ireland. I find the paranormal very exciting and after studying how ghost hunters use technology to make contact I tried myself. By now I have recorded many voices in my Derry home, the clearest was from Michael…
