Well, just like you, after the show, I went to yahoo images and found pictures of Howe to see if the person Grant saw was Howe.

You check for yourself, but my conclusion is, pretty close.

It’s certainly possible a photo exists as B&W photography was fairly common in 1860, but we didn’t find one either.

More likely one would think a description of Billy Howe would exist in some way that could at least say if he had blond hair.

I’ll keep looking for something.

daufhin – it’s a great idea – and I tried unsuccessfully to find a photo or illustration myself.
I also tried to find out if an Elizabeth Pratt was known to not only live there but commit suicide, and all I could find was quotes from the historical society. Not that I don’t believe them, but I always like to see if the real person existed or if it’s more a legend/folklore.
I agree that this was a good episode – but Kris was highly unprofessional! Many would LOVE the opportunity to be on Ghosthunters and she is taking her role for granted.

Are there any known photographs of Billy Howe? I would like to see if Grant’s description of the face he saw (scraggly beard, blond hair) matches the real life Mr. Howe. They never mentioned this on the show, which was disappointing, because it would have seemed to be the logical next step to try and identify the face he saw in casemate 11.
