Ray Wise Talks about Reaper and the Devil
TV.com has an interview with Ray Wise who plays the Devil on Reaper. It’s one of our favorite shows these days and hasn’t been officially re-newed for next year. They are now showing new episodes on Thursdays at 9PM, so if you haven’t seen it check it out.
TV.com: And that gives you another death grip around Sam. Last week, we got to see you make a deal with guest star Jamie Kennedy. Most of your dealings have been with Sam. Are we going to see more of you working deals with outside characters and see the Devil’s handiwork?
Ray Wise: Yes, I think so. We’re going to see the Devil dealing with other characters. I think it’ll make the character more interesting and certainly open up the storyline to a greater variety of possibilities. And we’re going to see a greater conflict between the Devil’s world and the world of Sam.
TV.com: Critics love the show. The fan base is really into it. So what do you think the prospects are of a second season? I know it’s on the bubble and we’d all like to see it come back. But what have you heard recently?
Ray Wise: Well I’ve heard that they’re good, you know? I’ve heard that the powers that be at the CW and others love the show. They like it. It’s a business thing and I hope that in these next four or five weeks of the show we can pick up a little bit more of an audience and it’ll justify bringing us back, because I know that once people start watching the show that they’re going to like it. It’s just a question of getting enough people to watch.
Earlier TV.com had an interview with Tyler Labine who plays Sock on the show.
