Long Island Paranormal Investigators (L.I.P.I.) recently returned to the Rolling Hills Asylum in Bethany, NY for a second investigation. You might remember the Rolling Hills Asylum from an episode of Ghost Hunters from 2005. The highlight of their experience at the asylum is when Jason and Grant do thermal readings in the basement, a heavy metal door closes and traps Jason. When Jason returns to investigate the door, it shuts on him again — but he can’t figure out what has caused it to move.

Here is a personal experience from their report:

Lead Investigator Mike Cardinuto reported that while he, Cheryl Wittmann and Amanda DeCarlo were in the smoking room we heard what sounded like a dog bark very softly a few rooms down. When Cheryl started to call the dog they heard what sounded like something mimic her. Digital audio that was reviewed later did not record any sound or EVP. When they went down the hall and into one of the other rooms they saw a sign on the inside door way that said something about animal spirits. Thought that was very odd.

L.I.P.I. really documents their investigations in an interesting way. One feels like the group went on a vacation and you are seeing their personal pictures. It’s actually kind of nice but of course they also include their evidence too.
