We here at Spectral Review are not paranormal investigators, demonologists, or drama critics. We don’t even play any of those on TV! But we do watch most paranormal shows and can tell the good ones from the bad.

Paranormal State episode report card.

“Good vs Evil”

Ryan’s investigation of paranormal activity in a home in western Pennsylvania turns up a connection to New Orleans.

Paranormal State deals with “good vs evil” as the title implies. Is this the comeback of the demon who shall remain nameless?

This is the first episode for the Paranormal State second season. Will it be a winner?

Client Credibility

The couple who owned the home in western Pennsylvania seemed very credible. They tell us how their home is disturbed by their religious relics being taken off the walls and tossed on the floor. They have come home to find all the appliances turned on, TVs, lights, ceiling fans. Dead animals have been found on their car hoods.

Very nasty and creepy happenings.

Investigation

The PRS team is joined by Chip Coffey on this investigation. Mr Coffey is right on with some of his observations. It comes to light that the family burned a voodoo item that came to their property from New Orleans. New Orleans is known for it’s history of people who have practiced voodoo and for the creepiest cemetery we have ever visited.

Also on the show is Chad Calek who is a guest tech expert. Mr Calek will be at Univ-Con which happens in September.

Based upon some feedback from Mr Coffey they investigate the basement. A lot of activity. Lots of unexplained noises. Be are told by Mr Calek that he saw an item hanging on the wall “flip up”. Not caught on camera visually but as an audience we hear a noise that could coincide with this personal experience from Chad.

Evidence

They had quite the episode in the basement. Easily the most “action-packed” scene in the series so far. Plus they captured a very interesting EVP. The EVP was a very clear growl.

Conclusion

This episode was the series best so far. They had a couple of personal experiences that appeared to happen right before our eyes. The show was very entertaining. And they covered new territory with the voodoo curse aspect of this case.

Awesome episode Paranormal State!!
