Waverly Hills May Soon Be a Haunted Hotel
The courier-journal.com has written a nice article interviewing the owners of the Waverly Hills Sanatorium on their plans to rehabilitate the Waverly Hills main structure into a hotel.
It’s a creepy, old, five-story building with a morgue, a “body chute” and guest rooms where people once lay dying of tuberculosis.
Mattingly and his architect, Kevin Milburn of Urban Designz, are dead serious about turning the old Waverly Hills Sanatorium into a 78-room boutique hotel with a spa, fitness center and meeting space for business groups.

The KAPS (Kentucky Area Paranormal Society) folks have been to Waverly Hills several times.
Good luck to the owners on their plans. It’s one of the locations we here at Spectral Review would like to get to someday.

It is my understanding that the “body chute” will become part of the water park attraction.

Omg.. water park.. thats funny. I have been here for an investigation, its a great place.. and the Mattingly’s are fantastic people. I wish them all the best in this venture.. If they do it.. I will definitely book a room!

The answer is credulous people who like to be fright-
ened, or frighten others. Maybe perhaps play at ghost huntin’ themselves. Buy some paranormal junk at the gift shop.
