Howdy Folks,
Just wanted to extend a “thank you” for your coverage and attention to the paranormal activity we’ve experienced at the Institute of Texan Cultures. We aren’t really looking for attention along paranormal lines, but since the experiences continue we’ve decided to address them as a teaching opportunity.
I encounter stodgy academics everyday (I’m usually one of them) that protest at the thought of promoting the supernatural. We are a rather unique teaching museum and our mission is to tell the stories of the people who came to Texas. We have learned that every culture that has come to Texas has a place for, and an understanding of, the paranormal in their belief system.
To that end, the Everyday Paranormal team has been a real gift in helping us deal with reported phenomena and to make sense of the stories that have circulated for 40 years.
Respectfully,
Rhett Rushing

I am doing a school project and I need to know “Why do different cultures believe differentley about the paranormal?”
Thanks so Much!

Kayla:
A quick answer would be that paranormal beliefs are bases on a culture’s particular superstitions.
The best thing to do would be a Google-search, oncultural superstitions, and choose the hits associated with Academia, not pop culture.
