There are many books written about ghosts that have a regional flavor. It’s a natural way for authors to organize a set of ghost stories as readers are interested in places they live or may visit in the future.
The Ghosts of West Chester is not any different in this respect. It is a book that concentrates on West Chester Pennsylvania. However this book is different in several ways than the many other books of this type we have read.
Mark Sarro is the author of Ghosts of West Chester. The book is 192 pages. It was published by Schiffer in 2008 under the ISBN 978-0-7643-2996-8. Printed in China.

This press release about the new book A Tale of Two Brothers: Reaching out from Beyond happened to fall into our Inbox and the book sounds interesting to us so we thought we would pass it along.
There was an episode of Dead Famous with Chris Fleming and Gail Porter where Carla Baron who is one of the psychics from Haunting Evidence contacted Jim Morrison while in an apartment that Morrison used to live. What was funny about the scene was Morrison wanted Chris Fleming out of the room because “his ego was interfering” with his own. It also would have left Morrison alone with the two women.
Here is the press release for A Tale of Two Brothers: Reaching out from Beyond:

The Daily News of Longview Washington has posted an article about a new book called Weird Washington. The book includes an entry on the Kelso Theatre Pub. From the article:
The authors devote a page to the Kelso Theatre Pub, which reportedly offers paranormal drama to those who seek it.
“Customers have seen a woman in the upper floor of the theater and immediately know something isn’t quite right, because she is transparent,” the authors reveal.
The see-through theatergoer may haunt the women’s restroom, where paranormal researchers reportedly recorded her saying “I’m cold.”
Southwest Washington Paranormal Group has investigated the Kelso Theatre Pub in the past. See their report on their investigation page.
A search reveals their evidence from the Kelso Theatre Pub. We think they should read Orbs or Dust? A Practical Guide to False-Positive Evidence by Kenny Biddle.

Don’t you want the evidence that is collected that may document paranormal activity to be rigorously examined? Isn’t the point of all the investment in equipment, the work of investigating, and the hours spent analyzing results to produce something that stands scrutiny?
The book Orbs or Dust? A Practical Guide to False-Positive Evidence by Kenneth Biddle should be be a tool of every paranormal investigator. Mr Biddle has written this book which can help anyone determine what paranormal evidence (photo, video, and EVP) has a natural explanation and what might really be authentic.

Every baseball fan has heard of Babe Ruth. Every physics student knows about Albert Einstein. So everyone who ever has been interested in the paranormal or ghost hunting has heard of Hans Holzer. Right?
Except for me.
Hans Holzer practically invented the notion of ghost hunting and paranormal research. Hans has written about 140 books and I have not read a single one of them. By the way, that will soon change.
Alexandra Holzer has written Growing Up Haunted A Ghostly Memoir. Alexandra is the daughter of Hans Holzer and Catherine Buxhoeveden. Growing Up Haunted is a memoir of her parents but also tells the story of her Grandmother and Grandfather.
The book is 252 pages. It was published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd. in February 2008 under the ISBN 0764328956.

The game of Baseball has a long and storied past. It’s a sport that lends itself to comparisons between modern day players and players from long ago. These statistical comparisons keep “alive” these players of the past more than any other sport.
These players are often referred to as “legends of the game”. Giving these players life far beyond their living years. So is there a more appropriate subject for a paranormal book than these “ghosts” of Baseball’s past?
Mickey Bradley and Dan Gordon have written Haunted Baseball Ghosts, Curses, Legends, And Eerie Events. The book is 275 pages. It was published by The Lyons Press on August 1, 2007 under the ISBN 1599210223. Their summary of the book is ‘A collection of “otherworldly” stories collected from baseball players, stadium personnel, umpires, front-office folks, and fans, which explores the sometimes amusing and sometimes spooky connection between baseball and the paranormal’.

Richard Felix who has appeared on the Living TV network Most Haunted television show has written a new book entitled The Haunted Tour of Britain West Midlands.
The book is not quite available yet from our store but will be in about a month. Right now the only way to get a copy is to find Richard on his book tour. He will be in Southport, UK this Friday so if you are nearby you can get a signed copy.
From an article on the Southport Visitor:
The world renowned paranormal historian is coming to town to promote his new book, The Haunted Tour Of Britain: Merseyside, and he wants to hear from Southport Visiter and Formby Times readers about their own spooky encounters.
Richard, 52, from Derby, spent four years working on the hugely successful television series, Most Haunted, but has taken time off from his TV schedule to cram some of our county’s most terrifying ghost stories into a new book – and one takes place right here in Southport.
Richard will be signing books in Southport this Friday.
He is at WH Smith from 1pm to 2pm, at Asda from 2pm to 3pm, and Waterstone’s from 3pm to 4pm.
He wants to hear from anyone who has a spooky tale to tell.
Richard added: “Hopefully I’ll get enough information, and they could be included in volume two.”
We always thought Richard Felix was one of the better contributors to Most Haunted as he always had a lot of information about the lore of a particular place and it’s hauntings. Plus he seemed rather level-headed during Most Haunted investigations while others were losing theirs.

This press release landed in our inbox today so we thought we would pass it along. The book is titled Gateways to the Otherworld: The Secrets Beyond the Final Journey, from the Egyptian Underworld to the Gates in the Sky and there is a companion DVD.
The book and DVD sound interesting but we can’t say we have read it or watched yet. The subject matter goes right along with this explosion of interest in the paranormal. People are looking for answers.
New “Holy Grail Frequency” May Reveal Ancient Paranormal Truths
An amazing new discovery by author, Philip Gardiner, will show precisely what the purpose of the Great Pyramid at Giza, and many other ancient monuments, truly was.
In his new Book, DVD and audio book, Gateways to the Otherworld, Gardiner unravels the mystery using science, etymology and hard analysis to show that there is indeed a special universal frequency that ancient man understood to be the true method of opening up a gateway in the mind to what we now term, Otherworlds.
The discovery will be of profound interest to all those interested in ancient and sacred sites as well as life-after-death investigators, ghost hunters and religious historians. The key to unlocking the many mysteries surrounding these areas of investigation may well now be here and involves the understanding of the very energy of the earth itself and our connection to it. In fact it is the Holy Grail of the paranormal phenomena world, hence the name given by one of the investigators who aided Gardiner in his work.
Philip Gardiner is the best selling author of The Ark, The Shroud and Mary, Gnosis: The Secret of Solomon’s Temple Revealed and Secret Societies: Gardiner’s Forbidden Knowledge. He has several DVD films out distributed by Real2Can.com and speaks regularly at international venues from Australia to America. His website is www.gardinersworld.com

Doris “Dusty” Smith has written a new book called Haunted Daytona Beach. The Daytona News Journal writes about Smith’s latest work.
The newest tome is chock-full of stories about rum-running ghosts, lost treasures and lingering spirits — such as Tappy the coffin maker. The workman’s shop was on the second floor of a building on Main Street now housing Tombstone Jewelers.
“He was a bit of a drinker and used to work holding coffin nails between his teeth,” Smith said. “The undertaker documented that he died of iron poisoning.” Smith said folks have reported hammering sounds, as if Tappy were still banging coffin nails.
The show A Haunting: A Haunting in Florida from season 2 was based upon Smith’s writing. Here is a summary of that episode.
I’m sure I saw that episode since I’ve seen them all but I can’t recall specific scenes. I can safely say I “jumped” at least once and was “creeped” out a couple of times since that seems to happen every time I watch that series!
