We here at Spectral Review as you might imagine enjoy the “reality” based ghost and paranormal shows. These shows include Most Haunted, Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State and Ghost Hunters International. These shows in their own way each try to find answers to questions about the paranormal. One could argue about their methods or motivations but they do try to show how they search for ghosts.
These shows are just representations of real people who do paranormal research. Nearly 100% of these people do this paranormal research for free. That tells us that these researchers are not only dedicated to this research but passionate about it also.
We want to know more about these people. Why do they do this research? How did they start? What expertise do they have?
Our next article in the “People in Paranormal Research” series is from Niki of Carroll Area Paranormal Team (CAPT). Niki is a recent addition to CAPT.

We here at Spectral Review are not paranormal investigators, demonologists, or drama critics. We don’t even play any of those on TV! But we do watch most paranormal shows and can tell the good ones from the bad.

We have to apologize as we here at Spectral Review haven’t posted much news recently. It’s really for two reasons. The first reason is that it’s actually been kind of slow news-wise with not too much happening.
Here is the second reason.

Beginning some time in 2009, ION Television has an agreement for the broadcast syndication rights to the television series Ghost Whisperer with CBS Television Distribution.
This is great news for your favorite Spectral Review editor as he has not seen season one.
Unfortunately the local ION affiliate doesn’t come in very well over the antenna. Hopefully the satellite version of ION shows these replays of Ghost Whisperer but that is not mentioned in the press release:

As we have said before, the best way for Moonlight fans to ensure it’s return for season two was to get more eyeballs watching.
As this Hollywood Reporter article states:
So it’s a mixed bag. Some good news but all is not rosy. Again if you want the show to have season two, get friends to tune in on Friday nights at 9PM Eastern.

Tonya Hacker is the founder of GHOULI - Ghost Haunts of Oklahoma and Urban Legend Investigations.
Tammy is the founder of Eerie Oklahoma.
Haven with her husband are from Illinois Hauntings Ghost Tours.
Janice Oberding has been a paranormal investigator over thirty years.
Tonya Keyser is founder and managing editor of The Journal of Paranormal Research.
The Ghost Divas are a group of paranormal investigators with many years of experience. They are also very opinionated.
Kevin over at SaveBloodTies.org suggests that we take a minute this weekend to send a nice message to the television network that previously aired Blood Ties to remind them that we think bringing Blood Ties back is a terrific idea.
He has the proper email to use based upon your location, US, Canada or the UK to use. It’s a great idea and just takes a few minutes.
The April 24, 2008 premiere of The Cold Spot with Brad and Barry Klinge from Everyday Paranormal is available for your listening pleasure.
It was a great start to a radio series we think you are going to like. The guys give us their story from what started them on their journey in the paranormal field to why they named their group “Everyday Paranormal” when they formed it in October 2007. Brad and Barry are not afraid to tell us what they think is wrong with the paranormal field and more importantly, why it’s wrong. So give it a listen.
Here is part one:
Here is part two:
Remember the show is on Thursday nights at 10PM Eastern on the terrific Para-X Radio Network. Also check out EPTV to see their video channel.
You can keep up to date with the Everyday Paranormal Radio/TV news at anytime.
A new TV show called Whines and Spirits recently filmed at the Pied Bull Inn located in Chester, a town that is one of the most haunted in England.
Not sure we are going to see the show here in the states but the article does tell us it’s from the Most Haunted gang. The show will be on The Paranormal Channel on Sky June 9th. I believe Sky is a satellite system for the UK and is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch recently sold his controlling share in DirecTV. Maybe we will see the channel here in the states, there is certainly enough interest in the paranormal to fuel such an enterprise.
From the article in the Chester Chronicle:
The Pied Bull in Northgate Street was given the accolade by paranormal experts last week after they filmed a new television series called Whines and Spirits at the pub.
Ghosts are said to haunt the 12 rooms, and the building is said to date back to the 16th century.
Co-owner John Wright said: “They said we were among the top five most haunted pubs in the country but didn’t tell us where on the list we were.
Not a bad premise for a show. Check out ghosts while having a pint or two.
