Product Description The Atlantic Paranormal Society, also known as T.A.P.S., is the brainchild of two plumbers by day, paranormal investigators by night: Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Their hair-raising investigations, fueled by their unique abilities and a healthy dose of scientific method, have made them the subject of a hit TV show: the SCI FI Channel's Ghost Hunters. Now their experiences are in print for the first time, as Jason and Grant recount for us, with the help of veteran author Michael Jan Friedman, the stories of some of their most memorable investigations. The men and women of T.A.P.S. pursue ghosts and other supernatural phenomena with the most sophisticated scientific equipment available -- from thermal-imaging cameras to electromagnetic-field recorders to digital thermometers -- and the results may surprise you. Featuring both cases depicted on Ghost Hunters and earlier T.A.P.S. adventures never told before now, this funny, fascinating, frightening collection will challenge everything you thought you knew about the spirit world.

A must have for any fan of the show... August 21, 2008 If you're a fan of the show Ghost Hunters or just into the paranormal, you'll love this book. These guys take a totally practical and trustworthy stance on hauntings and the paranormal- trying to disprove it all... and catching some crazy awesome evidence and experiences in the mean time. I found reading the backstory of how TAPS came to be founded super interesting and brought up a lot of things that the guys never talk about on the show.
I can't wait for more from Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson.
More Episode Recap Then Behind The Scenes August 18, 2008 Imagine if you were to recap the best episodes of Ghost Hunters first two seasons. That is what half of what reading Ghost Hunting is like, reading everything you have already seen on TV. The first half of the book talks about the start of TAPS, how Jason was introduced to the world of the paranormal, and cases he and Grant investigated before the show started. And those cases are far more hair raising than anything you will see on Sci-Fi, including TAPS encountering an Incubus, possession, and summoned entities. After these stories, we are given retreads of what we have seen on TV. The information in these encounters offer little insight, and sometimes feel like they were being written by someone watching the show, and not an active participant. Want to know how being part of a TV show has impacted their investigations, some of the cases that happen between episodes that are televised, or some greater insight into what you have seen on TV? Unfortunately you won't find those answers in this book. The first half of the book is incredible and sometimes frightening. As for the second half, I have already seen these stories on TV.
Loved it! August 17, 2008 This book was a quick read but a fun one. Some of the stories were familiar from seeing them on tv but it was neat to kind of go "behind the scenes" so to say. I would definetly recommend this book.
Loved it! August 10, 2008 If you even passingly like the show, you will definitely like this book. First of all, it is a good quick read, with good flow from chapter to chapter and fascinating stories that really get you into the Ghost Hunters' heads. Second, it explains in depth the methodology that the TAPS family uses, and their skeptical nature; I love that these guys are looking for more than phantom "orbs" and EVPs. They are really after irrefutable proof of the paranormal, and as this book evolves, you learn that even though they have experienced just that, they know that their work will never be over until they can capture evidence that could change even the most hardened skeptic's mind. Truly fascinating and gives you a new found respect for J and Grant and the TAPS family.
Amazing! August 8, 2008 I finished this book so quickly because it was so hard to put it down. I love watching the tv show ghost hunters but its so interesting to read the book. The book includes information that you don't see on the show. They also included photos in the book which are amazing too see. I would reccomend this book to anyone who is interested in ghost hunting.
