Product Description Having conducted research through five decades and across four continents, investigator Brad Steiger concludes that a richly populated Shadow World exists all around us. When it impinges on our ordinary plane of shared reality, this dark dimension is sometimes frightening, occasionally menacing, but always worthy of cautious exploration. Spirits of the dead are but one of the many types of beings that inhabit the Shadow World. Others appear to be multidimensional beings, some of whom may be benign, while others seem to be cosmic tricksters or troublemakers bent on mischief. And unfortunately some of the beings that seem to have our best interests at heart may in fact have entered our world with the intention of possessing our bodies or capturing our souls.

A Good Story Never dies... October 26, 2008 In a day when books on Ghosts contain references to infrared film, thermal camera displays and milligauss meters, Steiger's narrative style still shines above the competition. All the technical proof in the world doesn't convey the chill of a concise, well written paragraph that puts you toe to toe with the unexplained. In this book Steiger takes on the darkside. The book defines some apparition types that you have probably heard of before if you read this genre. Thankfully, it doesn't belabor them or get heavy handed about who sent them or exactly how to get rid of one.
Very Good. August 4, 2008 If you are new to the world of hauntings and psychic phenomena, you will find this book very informative and interesting.
If you have read extensively on the topic, you will enjoy the first half of the book. The second half will become tedious. Good read, but it won't have a permanent place in my collection.
Good Campfire Stories, But That's All March 12, 2008 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have been reading accounts of hauntings and such for some years now. This particular book although calling itself "True", is nothing of the sort. Go no further than the "Sacred Places of the Deiform Spirits" chapter to see my point. It does make a good bathroom reader but if you're looking for solid accounts of actual hauntings, you're barking up the wrong tree.
GREAT BOOK January 25, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you're looking for some good old fashioned ghost stories and other spooky tales, this is the book. I read it in one sitting. That the stories are based on trued accounts makes it even more.....well....spooky.
What you get, is not always seen October 9, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
When I bought Shadow World, I was looking for answers. Chapter six had everything I was looking for. This book was such a good read that I read it in one sitting. Great writing, with a style that holds your attention from word one until the last word on the last page. This book covers all of the topic of ghost with eye ball accounts from the people who have been there.
