Product Description
This is a book of true and tall tales about life in the Great Smoky Mountains. Within these pages, you will meet a throng of colorful characters. Many of the tales deal with the timeless, universal human dilemmas. There are also pourquoi tales old legends that attempt to explain why certain events happened some sad, some humorous. There are vivid images, reflection, adventure, even enchantment and bits of magic. Collectively, the tales give us a glimpse of life in this beautiful spot in the universe of how it was, and how it is.

5 out of 5 stars Added Pleasure to Travels in the Smokies   September 8, 2008
I bought this book at Book Warehouse in Gatlinburg, TN while visiting there last summer. It was a pleasure to read real stories about the area, and visit some of them. Some are so intriguing that my wife and I still tell our friends about them.

I love to read at odd moments while waiting - and this book filled lots of those moments with pleasure. Loved the tales.
