Product Description The Atlantic Paranormal Society, also known as T.A.P.S., is the brainchild of two plumbers by day, paranormal investigators by night: Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Their hair-raising investigations, fueled by their unique abilities and a healthy dose of scientific method, have made them the subject of a hit TV show: the SCI FI Channel's Ghost Hunters. Now their experiences are in print for the first time, as Jason and Grant recount for us, with the help of veteran author Michael Jan Friedman, the stories of some of their most memorable investigations. The men and women of T.A.P.S. pursue ghosts and other supernatural phenomena with the most sophisticated scientific equipment available -- from thermal-imaging cameras to electromagnetic-field recorders to digital thermometers -- and the results may surprise you. Featuring both cases depicted on Ghost Hunters and earlier T.A.P.S. adventures never told before now, this funny, fascinating, frightening collection will challenge everything you thought you knew about the spirit world.

Ghost Hunting November 18, 2008 An avid fan of Ghost Hunters I watch the show religously every week. I think Jason and Grant's methods for investigating the paranormal are sound and add merit to a field of investigation that was not always taken seriously. Especially when their methods are first and foremost to debunk a haunting rather than prove it. This book is in addition to several books I already have on hand on the subject to conduct my own research with. I've had numerous experiences of my own with the supernatural while growing up with my siblings, relatives and even a few friends who've also had their fair share of disturbing experiences while at the house we were living in at the time. At present my mom still lives there. The experiences themselves went on for about 17 years or so between all of us and it is believed there is still activity in that house even now. Nonetheless, these experiences in my life have left an indelible impression on my family and myself and continue to even to this day. Hence the avid interest I still have in this subject. It's a great book for my own collection and I highly recommended it to anyone interested in further study or research into this topic.
Almost an "Episodes" Synopsis November 15, 2008 "Ghost Hunting" can almost be described as written summaries of several investigations from the TV series. Any fan searching for new material will probably be disappointed, although there are commentaries and anecdotes providing some insight to the "behind-the-scenes" aspects of the covered investigations, and the thoughts and feelings of Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Several of the pictures are interesting as well. For a fan of Ghost Hunters insistent on owning all memorabilia or seeking more detail regarding their investigations, this may be for you. For anyone else, I would recommend purchasing the DVD's of the series. Ghost Hunters - The Complete First Season
Best show on Sci-Fi gets a book November 12, 2008 For fans of the show its a little redundant but adds some background stuff that's interesting. Being a fan of the show, you either believe in ghosts or think these guys are greatest conmen of all time. Nice to see their differences from the "I-Feel-Someone's-In-The-Room" approach to discoveries of the paranormal.
The Ghost Hunters November 10, 2008 I enjoyed reading this book based on the investigations of Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of the SCIFI Channel's The Ghost Hunters. In the book, you will get a recap of some of their investigations and some behind the scenes information as well. It was fun reading about Jason, Grant and the whole TAPS team and revisiting some of the places they had investigated on their show. If you like the series, you will most likely enjoy the book. As a fan of the show, I recommend the book.
Great book November 9, 2008 If you are a fan of Ghost Hunters, you will love this book. It gives more insight and a better understanding of the paranormal. And I love reading what Jason and Grant have to say about their experiences.
