OMG November 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received the first book, The Awakening, for my birthday in 6th grade; which was a very long time ago since I will turn 30 on my next birthday. I read them and every other L.J. Smith book and looked forward to Strange Fate for years. I actually haven't reread them in a few years, but I am excited to be able to buy them again. My original books from the Vampire Diaries are literally being held together with packing tape, I read them so much as a preteen and teenager. These books were my entrance to the genres of urban fantasy and now I can reread them once again and my kids can have them and not have worry about missing a page!
OK for pre-teens October 18, 2008 This series is very juvenile. I imagine that anyone under about 16 would really enjoy it and some over 16 but it's not for adults who are used to smart, interesting writing.
Great Book October 8, 2008 I love Vampire Books, I have read a lot of them lately... This book is great and my daughter loved it as well. I like reading books that my teenage daughter likes to read as well. We can talk about what we liked and didn't like in the books. She loved this book as well.
Vampire September 7, 2008 Quick delivery, excellent shape for the book. Good description in reference to what the story in the book is about
1 less star because of The Dark Reunion April 22, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I really really liked the Fury but really didn't get into the Dark Reunion. I think The Dark Reunion left more open doors then if it would have ended at The Fury. Was there more to Meredith...didn't it seem like something was always going to be revealed about her but wasn't? And Damon's character was elvolving since book 1 and in the last he just flatlined. Then the tension between Bonnie & Damon and the human guy(lol can't remember his name)...it got started then never developed. The human story in the beginning of the Dark Reunion was soooo drawn out I couldn't wait till the vampire came into play. Eh, just not a satisifying end all around.
