Product Description From the Gold Coast to Montauk Point, this book by Long Island author/photographer and historical researcher Kerriann Flanagan Brosky recounts 30 ghostly legends and stories, as well as the histories of these haunted sites. The stories range from the humorous to the spiritual, and include startling eyewitness accounts of paranormal experiences by credible mainstream suburbanites, causing even confirmed skeptics to think twice. The 176-page book is casebound, and its 70 photographs of various haunted sites include some that show strange apparitions.

Bewitching! December 16, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A friend of mine told me about this book and encouraged me to read it. I love history and novels about factual events. This book has both of these elements as well as an element of the unknown, ghosts! `Ghosts of Long Island' is a wonderful collection of stories about unusual 'happenings'. Each chapter is about paranormal events that have happened at a home or location as experienced by the folks that live and/or work in these places. The writing is superb as the author explores these stories from a historical perspective. (She thinks of herself as "a historian first then a ghost hunter second.") I kept this book by the bed and read a different story (or two or three) each night. The book was over way too quickly! I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in history with a little twist thrown in!
