Product Description
A fascination with ghostly phenomena is sweeping the country. There is plenty to fascinate right here in the Valley Forge area! Delve into the area's unique culture and stormy history by exploring sixty ghostly accounts of creepy places, non-living people, and paranormal phenomena. You won't want to miss: General "Mad Anthony" Wayne, as he searches for his bones in Valley Forge, the furniture-moving ghosts at the Phoenixville Public Library , the happy child spirits at the Manor House Bed and Breakfast, the ghostly Civil War soldier, Jeremy, who spins a single rose at the Mansion House Inn, the fantastic yearly celebration of the 1950s horror film, The Blob, at the Blobfest of Phoenixville, and the ghostly inhabitants at the Corner Stores. These are only a few of the strange tales that will keep you contemplating ghostly visitors long into the night.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Nicely Done & Fine Job.Even for a Skeptic Like this Reviewer!   November 30, 2007
Having lived in the Valley Forge/ Phoenixville area for many years, I thought this book might be both unique and amusing, and I was right on both! Inside are some nice tales about alleged ghosts in local taverns, and most interestly, in the Phoenixville Public Library, a habitat I have spent many, many hours in. Even the library director claims that books fall off the shelves, and others state there have been strange lights! In fact, on the back cover is photographed a green light just outside the library said to be as real ghost (this is what the author told me). Without being a killjoy, I'll just say that ghost watching must be an amusing past-time, and that though the contents here may be disputable, the very high production, photos, and general wit thruout the book make it a welcome addition to libraries on ghosts and the supernatural..Enjoy!
