Product Description
Life lessons from those who know best -- the dead: Allison DuBois shares insights on how you can live your legacy today.

Known as the inspiration for the hit television show Medium, Allison DuBois lives in a world few of us ever glimpse. She can see what is on both sides of the thin line between life and death, and she regularly encounters spirits who have passed. As part of her life's work, she comforts families who have tragically lost their sons and daughters, helps authorities find dangerous criminals, and locates missing persons. But, like all of us, her first job is being a dedicated member of her family, a treasured friend, and a guiding light to her three daughters.

Like the monarch butterfly, whose survival as a species depends on its predecessors' actions several generations before, everyone is influenced by their ancestors. But it is up to individuals, Allison says, to create their own legacies and pass the fire and passion in their lives to their children, their children's children, and the generations

beyond.

In Secrets of the Monarch, Allison passes on important life lessons she's learned through communicating with the dead. If you want to understand life, Allison teaches, you must understand death. You already know the ending of your story, so make it the best tale you can -- while you can. Everyone is part of a bigger story, but by making the most of your life every day, you can positively affect that story.

Some aspects of life and death are leaps of faith. But others are conscious choices that we can make to better our lives and those of future generations. With insightful teachings on both family relationships and friendships, as well as how she herself is inspired to live better tomorrow than she has today, Allison DuBois shows how each of us can make our lives a true masterpiece.

5 out of 5 stars Many questions received answers   January 4, 2009
I am a recent widow with many questions and many strange happenings. Since I had purchased the two previous books which offered answers at that time, I felt maybe this book had something new about healing and understanding and moving forward. It sure did and it wasn't in big scientific terminaology but just basic down to earth language. I cried several times (mostly in Chapter 8) because she was right on target about how those who have passed still can communicate and teach us more about our new lives. Also, I am always seeing monarch butterflies so I knew that I had to read this book. Thanks.

1 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.   December 6, 2008

This book is full of plain commonsense advise, nothing special. You don't need to be able to communicate with the dead to give the type of advise she gives on this book. It feels like a common human being wrote a book about her life! So bland, so plain. If you have commonsense and a basic education, you don't need this book!

5 out of 5 stars I think everyone should read Secrets of the Monarch   September 4, 2008
Surely everyone has watched the TV show MEDIUM. And, you probably know it is taken from the life of a real person. Well, read this and get to really know the real Allison DuBois. She is THE most authentic psychic/medium I have ever heard, and I have heard/read/listened to a lot of them. Researchers at the University of Arizona documented her ability through a series of tests in which she scored exceptionally high on accuracy and specificity. It's quite a read!

4 out of 5 stars An honest book   May 30, 2008
This book is simply written, with good advice based on Allison's experiences. I'm a fan of the TV show based on her life and talents, The Medium. She has also written two other books. I have read them both, and I enjoyed them more than this book.

5 out of 5 stars another precious read   May 27, 2008

another precious read from Allison, but with a different slant toward generational balance...presents one with a new perspective on family and the responsibility of the familial soul...
