Enchanting Review: Twilight Fall December 15, 2008 TWILIGHT FALL LYNN VIEH Paranormal romance Onyx Rating: 4 Enchantments
Liling Harper has a talent with flowers. Not only can she make flowers and plants grow so beautifully they also bring peace and tranquility to those around them. She is running from the Brethren, because she was thought to be dead, the same group that is trying to eliminate the Darkyn. Liling never stays in one place for more than a year and after the year is up she just disappears and starts a new life elsewhere. When she is found out, she tries to make a clean getaway but ends up leaving with Valentin. Will she blow her cover by falling for mister mysterious?
Valentin Jaus is trying to recover from the death of the woman he loved. When she was small, she was accidently infected with a slight amount of his blood which ended up killing her. This is a burden that he has on him every day. When he sees Liling in the rehab facility, his heart starts to lighten of this burden. He knows he should never become attached to anyone again, but Liling has something about her that draws them together. Can she cure his heart of this heavy burden?
TWILIGHT FALL is the sixth book in the Darkyn series. Valentin is the Darkyn leader of Chicago. He also owns a rehab facility where Liling works. They meet because Liling has become friends with Louisa a patient of the facility who Valentin visits frequently. Liling is accidently photographed outside the rehab center with a tattoo of a red swan on her shoulder. This photograph was so beautiful that it made it to national paper. This has now compromised Liling's identity because she was hiding from the Brethren who thought that she was dead. She tries to leave the area immediately but finds that she cannot take any flight out. When Valentin offers her a safe flight to Atlanta she jumps at the chance, especially since it means that she will have a little more time with the hunky mysterious Valentin. Liling's fears of being captured or killed are well justified when the Brethren sends a tracker out to find the red swan. When Liling and Valentin's plane crashes it becomes a battle to stay a step ahead of Kyan, the tracker and their common enemy. Can the two defeat this latest battle sent by the Brethren, or will Liling's powers become so deadly that they consumer her and Valentin's blooming love?
TWILIGHT FALL was the first book of the Darkyn that I have read. While the book stands alone I am guessing that it would have made more sense had I read the previous five. They are sitting currently on my TBR Mountain, but after reading this book, they are moving their way up to the top five! Twilight Falls has a blooming romance that turns into a full bouquet erotic sexual domination. Valentin is a very dominate male and Liling is more than happy to be his submissive. This is a must read for any paranormal romance lover!

Jennifer Enchanting Reviews August 2008
love it great series new chapter November 3, 2008 ita a new chapter in the series of the darkyn , all our favorites come again . for those of you who have not read the privious books , dont worry each book centers around a new caracter ads a new c. then half way in the story brings all the indruduced caracters togther .. so eaven the new reader is cought and alloud to catch up . and for those like me who have read the privious books .. its cool to say " hello " to Alexandra, Michael, Val, Phillip and the rest of the gand each with their individual talents, its dark, partly erotic and you cant stop once you started reading . try it .
Enjoying this series. September 21, 2008 #6 in the Darkyn series and still holding my attention. That is high praise A stand alone story, but the hero is a character we met in earlier books. I much prefer this type of series. There are some on going threads, but each has its own plot. I don't want to have to re-read the older books in order to keep track of the story line. I love J R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, but I'm half way through my 3rd reading and I'm starting to get frustrated. I still plan to read Darkyn book 7, but if I missed it, I don't feel as if that would blow the whole series for me.
Fantastic September 9, 2008 I love this book!! Ive been waiting for a long time to read it though. Well ever since the second one came out. But it is a very exciting read and you wont be disappointed. You never will be when you read Lynn Viehl.
It's no Evermore, but it's still good August 21, 2008 In the newest installment into the world of the Darkyn, we revist Valentin Jaus, who once again finds love, even if he's not looking for it.
My greatest grievance for this novel is the pace. I do not feel that there was an adequate chance to develop Lilling's character, and though the focus seems to be on Jaus, he is not explored either.
Viehl has many different storylines occuring in this novel. Regrettably, there seem to be so many that nothing can be adequately tied up in one book.
It is still a good foray with her characters, but not one of my favorites.
