No More Open Door January 7, 2009 I mentioned this device in relation to the review I did on the Harmony 1000. I have my stereo, Cable box and DVD player in a cabinet that is behind my chair, while the TV is over the fire place in front of me. Until now I had to leave the door open on the cabinet and try to reflect the light off the TV into the cabinet, which worked until the batteries got low. Now the door to the cabinet is closed and everything works perfectly. This is a solution that has made my wife very happy and definitly gives the room a spiffier look. If you have a problem similar to mine, this is the way to go. I whole heartedly recommend it.
Don't buy this with Harmony One December 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Even though this item is listed as an "accessory" to the Harmony One on Amazon's page, it isn't compatible with it. The Harmony One is IR only and cannot pair with the extender. Save your $100.
RF Extender is a "Must Have" with Harmony 1000! September 23, 2008 Love my Harmony 1000 and can't imagine owning it without the RF Extender. I've owned them about a year and would never go back to standard remotes. Setup was a breeze and I love that I don't have to point the remote at my components. Assigning ports to specific devices was easy and a good idea since there's no need to send redundant signals to componets that don't need them.
If you keep a close eye on the Harmony 1000 and RF Extender, Amazon often has rebates if you buy the two items together. My rebate covered the entire cost of the RF Extender, making it free.
I wrote a longer review about my experience with the Harmony 1000 and RF Extender, so I don't know that much more needs to be said, other than emphatically stating that I see no point in owning the Harmony 1000 without the RF Extender. Give them a shot! If you don't like it, you can always return them. :)
Logitech RF extender September 20, 2008 This extender was easy to set up and corrected the problem I was having with my Logitech Harmony 1000 that required too precise aiming for the IR sensors in two components in my home theater system. Logitech should include it with the Harmony 1000.
wireless extender August 31, 2008 works great! Found out it worked better when I assigned the ports to each device.
