THERE ARE 3 LIGHTS. RED FOR DANGER, GREEN FOR SAFE, AND YELLOW FOR CAUTION. LIGHTWEIGHT AND PORTABLE. WORKS ON 9 VOLT BATTER THAT LASTS A LONG TIME. I CAN CHECK MY CELL PHONE, COMPUTER FOR EMF READINGS, WHICH MAKE SENSE. IF YOU GET TO CLOSE FOR A TV FOR INSTANCE, OR A ALARM CLOCK, GREEN, YELLOW AND RED SHOW UP. SAFE: 0-2 MILLI GAUSS, CAUTION: 2.5-7 MILLI GAUSS AND DANGER: 8 MILLI GAUSS OR HIGHER. EVEN THE ELECTRIC CABLES FOR MY COMPUTER HAVE ALL COULORS SHOW UP. IT'S GOOD TO KNOW HOW FAR TO KEEP AWAY FROM THE TV AND OTHER ITEMS FOR SAFETY. THE COMPUTER SHOWS UP SAFE TO CAUTION WHEN USED. WHEN CPU IS OFF, ONLY GREEN SHOWS UP, WHICH IS SAFE. This item does exactly what it says it will do, which is good and bad. It is a good product to begin with but I can see, after the first usage, that the meters with a needle and scale will give more accurate readings. This particular procduct just lets you know if you are cold-warm-hot. If you are going to buy an EMF meter, spend a little extra and get the type with a scale instead.
