5 out of 5 stars Why does the VOD version cost more than DVD?   September 22, 2008

I don't get it. If you guys want people to buy this digital content, you need to price it appropriately...come on. DVD version is $10 cheaper....and once I buy it, I can rip it to my computer and re-sell it on EBAY. This should cost 1/2 of what the DVD version costs.

5 out of 5 stars Talk nerdy to me   May 9, 2008

Being a mechanical engineering major myself and already having taken the requisite physics classes, it is a sheer delight to watch a show that can tell jokes which mock the number of dimensions required in String Theory or the absurd inaccuracies portrayed in sci-fi movies (Superman decelerating Lois Lane in a matter of a few feet from over 100 mph. Although Sheldon was wrong about the number of pieces she would be cut into...). I was hooked from the beginning when Sheldon called Penny's messy apartment a "swirling vortex of entropy." I just wish I could petition the show to use my quantum diffraction joke, it's a riot.

A word to those who claim the show misuses scientific jargon. Actually, the uses of technical jargon are, for the most part, correct. The reason for this is that the technical consultant for the show is UCLA physicist David Saltzberg.

5 out of 5 stars Hysterical   February 26, 2008

It's a great, refreshing comedy that makes you laugh out loud. It's nice to have something to laugh about on TV - it's rare these days. Most comedy seems to be written in the most rauchy way possible and still get on TV. I laugh at those shows too but it's REALLY REFRESHING to know that some writers still know how to be funny without having to resort to trash.

5 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT   February 23, 2008

I'm a scientist and I thoroughly enjoyed this show, I'm so glad its been picked up for a 2nd series! It may not always be completley accurate and some people argue that its a bit of a cliche plot, but I hate to say the so-called 'geeks' aren't that unrealistic unfortunatley and it just makes the show all the more funny! Its a guilty pleasure and a well written show on many levels, I really recommend it. I don't see how you can't enjoy it!
