The Ghost Hunters November 10, 2008 I enjoyed reading this book based on the investigations of Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of the SCIFI Channel's The Ghost Hunters. In the book, you will get a recap of some of their investigations and some behind the scenes information as well. It was fun reading about Jason, Grant and the whole TAPS team and revisiting some of the places they had investigated on their show. If you like the series, you will most likely enjoy the book. As a fan of the show, I recommend the book.
Great book November 9, 2008 If you are a fan of Ghost Hunters, you will love this book. It gives more insight and a better understanding of the paranormal. And I love reading what Jason and Grant have to say about their experiences.
Ghost Hunting November 4, 2008 This is a good, entertaining, and quick read. The book is basically a big casefile of TAPS investigations with a little bit of history and exposition thrown in for good measure. Even those who watch the show regularly will find little anecdotes that didn't make it onto the screen as well as investigation summaries from before Ghost Hunters began to air. The case summaries are told by Jason Hawes with a little commentary thrown in, usually at the end of the story, by Grant Wilson. Those who don't watch the show may not understand why so much of the angst surrounding Brian Harnois was thrown in, but those who do will likely be at least tolerant of the material, though a case could still be made for the extra material being unnecessary, as the primary focus should be the investigations.
Just what I expected October 31, 2008 I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Yes, if you are familiar with the Ghost Hunters show on SciFi many stories were cases which had been previously aired. Although there was other interesting facts and cases which I as an avid watcher had never seen. Overall, for a first book I think it was just as if should be. If there is talk of a sequel, I would recommend a few of the following tips. Include cases which weren't aired on TV and change names if confidentiality is an issue, include more pics. A maybe a step by step explanation of an investigation, including the use and of equipment and the reasons for it' use, and a brief synopsis on why it's used, what results you expect to receive from it and the proper methods of debunking any results. But if your a fan of the Ghost Hunters as I am, this is hopefully just the first in a long line of works to come. DON'T MISS IT ~~~
Ghost Hunters October 30, 2008 I have always had a hard time finishing a book once I get started. I am a big fan of the show "The Ghost Hunters", and when I saw this book on their website, I had to get it. Once I started I couldn't put it down. All I could think about was getting back to my book. The cool thing was that watching the show, I felt like I knew all the people in it. Finally finding out how Jay and Grant came to be friends was really cool and knowing about their experiences was something that I have wanted to know. You won't be disapointed reading this book. You'll enjoy it alot.
