Never read Armstrong, but so glad I have now! October 18, 2008 I work in a bookstore, and I know that Armstrong only writes adult paranormal, so when we got in a young adult by her, I was intrigued. Especially so when I read the summary.
I won't give away the plot, but I'll tell you that if you liked the Twilight Series, or the House of Night series, or anything paranormal, you'll love this book! I am so glad I picked it up. I can gaurentee you that I will be picking up The Awakening as soon as it comes out, I just don't know what I'll do until then! =D
Good young adult book October 12, 2008 I thought this book was very good. It turned out totally different than I expected but I still liked it and I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy....when they get published of course. lol.
Good for night reading September 23, 2008 My brother bought me this book after I said that I want to read something new. At the beginning the story evolved a bit slow but when more pieces came together a machine for action was ready to roll, and I was hooked. A story of a teenager with a special gift that end-ups in psychiatric clinic with a treatment plan for schizophrenia was quite captivating. Therefore, I look forward to read a sequel that should clear up all the questions that were risen by the cliff hanging ending.
Liked it! September 16, 2008 I thought that this book was great! It had a sense of mystery and lots of action. It also showed that you definitely can't judge a book by its cover and that if you give someone a chance, they might become your best friend, or maybe save your life.
Cliffhanger September 8, 2008 I love Kelley Armstrong's adult series, I purchased this book because I'm always looking for books my ninth grade students would be interested in. Even as an adult it really kept my interest but I hate how much of a cliffhanger it was. I'll have to reread it by the time the next book comes out.
