I looked around abit before bought it...It is really awesome toy. Great sound- I mean GREAT sound. Runs on one AAA bettery would play MP3 also. The build in speaker also doesn pretty good job actually. It is quite small - thats what I was looking for.
The only complain i have is on its black finish that captures marks easily.

I sing with a Sweet Adeline chorus and record rehearsals, as well as sing into my recorder for qualification. This is so much easier to carry than my old tape recorder. I just started using it so I'm anxious to learn all the added features I have at my fingertips.

I have used the Olympus WS-100 and was impressed with that unit. So I upgraded to this WS-320M for more memory and features. But the genuises at Olympus redesigned the location of the USB plug in relation to the plastic housing of the unit - so now it doesn't fit into my computer (a Gateway). The front of the computer tower conflicts with the side of the Olympus' case.
Unless your USB ports are not obstructed by any side protrusions from the tower case itself, don't waste your money on this garbage.

This is my second 320M; I lost my 1st one and couldn't wait to get my replacement. From storing music cd's to live rcording, this little dynamo is awesome - the clarity is outstanding. In owning other digital recorders, this one is the best.

Pros: Very good music player. Sound clarity is exceptionally good with nice bass booster. Easy file management and direct plug-in to your computer. Cute looking.
Cons: Need to change battery quite often. There is no slot available to increase the memory. Recording level is good only with external mike. Screen size is too small to read, but with the back light lit one can manage. Speaker out put( 100mw) is very low to listen
