The most convenient June 1, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As a musician, I use this to capture tunes in a live session, or to play an original tune into it so I don't forget. It's also handy when I need to remember a conversation.
This isn't the best quality recorder around, but it sure is convenient! It is very light, and fits (along with my glasses) in an eye-glass case, it is very easy to work in the dark, it is very easy to transfer to a computer, it has plenty of capacity.
It has a place to plug a mic in, which improves the sound.
The biggest hassle is that there is no line in. You need an attenuator cable to plug into the mic in for that.
If you want great field recordings, get the Zoom H4, for 3 times the price, and much bigger. If ok quality is fine, get this.
Portable secretary May 30, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a marvelous aide to carry all office files, music, attend conferences and record them, and even in the car to take a message, address or number while driving, is a perfect secretary.

This is an excellent product with great performance and impressive playback for such a compact device... highly recommended.
great gadget May 14, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Amazing quality of recording. Flexibility of quality and duration but at best mode, 35+ hours is awesome. I used to use a Panasonic but that required dedicated sofware and limited memory for limited recording time. Overall, very impressed. I bought the proper case as well.
good voice recorder/mp3 player May 7, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I think it is a bit expensive for what it is - a quality voice recorder. But it doubles nicely as an mp3 player, which is fantastic. However, the interface for music is pretty bleak, it is obviously a voice recorder first. I like the fact that the voice recording is in stereo; although, I am not sure why that is useful - if you are looking to do good stereo recording, I would purchase the exterior mic to go with it. The AAA battery is really really lame - they really couldn't figure out a re-chargeable battery approach? Overall, not bad, but I would think only a small crowd would be interested in this.
