Welcome to the Spectral Review version of Ghostly Game Sudoku. I think you will enjoy playing as we think we have the best Sudoku game on the Internet. We have several “themes” including “Ghost Hunting Tools” and our own ghost mascot “Ghostie”.

The rules are simple. The objective is to fill a 9×9 grid so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 boxes (also called blocks or regions) contains the digits from 1 to 9, only one time each (that is, exclusively).

You work with one number (or item) at a time. The current number (or item) can be selected with a left mouse click or adjusted with a scroll wheel. Placing a piece is just left mouse click onto an empty space. If correct the current selected number (or item) added to the puzzle.

Our version of the game allows you to place “reminder” notes in the margins. If you have determined a particular number (or item) belongs to a particular row or column you can note that fact with a “row or column reminder”. Better yet if you have determined a number (or item) belongs in one of two spaces you can add an adjacent reminder for that too.

Reminders are placed by right clicking on a space. When placing reminders, think “top-left” when picking your space. The game will let you put reminders pretty much anywhere even if they make no sense. You can “undo” your reminders if you make a mistake. However, you can not place a piece incorrectly. Only correct placements will be displayed.

Also you can “highlight” the currently selected number (or item). This is a big help especially when using one of the picture based themes but also is handy for a symbol based theme. You can easily see where the pieces line up on the board.

Good luck!
